The photo book named "Agdam delenda est. Images from Karabakh" was presented in Rome

The presentation ceremony of the photo book "Agdam delenda est. Images from Karabakh" by Fabrizio Conti, creative director of the Italian company "Artcloud Network International", was held in Rome.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Italy, Rashad Aslanov, researcher of Sapienza University of Rome, professor Daniel Pommier Vincelli, representatives of academic circles, architects, analysts and experts participated in the presentation ceremony held at the information center of "Adn Kronos International SRL" agency.

Fabrizio Conti mentioned in the book that more than 150 photographs taken in Karabakh and other territories liberated from occupation have been collected. He said that he has repeatedly visited our territories that were liberated from occupation and that he was a live witness of the vandalism of Azerbaijani territories during the period of Armenian occupation for about thirty years. He said that the book "Agdam delenda est. Images from Karabakh" is a journey to the soul of Karabakh through images.

The creative director noted that the government of Azerbaijan is currently carrying out large-scale reconstruction and restoration works in the liberated areas, and the magnificent and unique Museum Complexes of Occupation and Victory will be built in Karabakh.

Professor Daniel Pommier Vincelli noted that Azerbaijan has been subjected to Armenia's ethnic cleansing policy for many years, thousands of Azerbaijanis have been displaced from their homes and forced to live as refugees. He noted that during the occupation, Armenia looted the material, cultural and architectural heritage of Karabakh, destroyed mosques and graves. After liberating its historical territories from occupation, Azerbaijan prioritized the return of internally displaced people to their ancestral lands.

The ambassador of our country in Italy, Rashad Aslanov, said that Azerbaijan is currently successfully carrying out reconstruction and development works in Karabakh. Rashad Aslanov noted that during the nearly thirty years of military occupation, Armenia not only looted and destroyed the cities and villages of Azerbaijan, but also polluted them with mines and other explosive devices. It was emphasized that the scale of the problem of landmines in our territories freed from occupation is extensive and that the government of Azerbaijan is making great efforts to eliminate this threat. It was stated that the threat of landmines in Karabakh remains a source of great danger to the life and health of Azerbaijani citizens even in the post-conflict period. Diplomat said that the book "Agdam delenda est. Images from Karabakh" will be an important tool for conveying to the Italian public both the results of the Armenian vandalism suffered by the occupied cities and villages of Azerbaijan, as well as the restoration works in the liberated areas.

At the event, a video about the ruins left from the occupation period and the reconstruction works carried out in these areas after the occupation of Karabakh was presented by Fabrizio Conti.
